Resisting Fascism: It's now or never
It's been an incremental process, but now there is no effort to hide the evil intent

Experts in authoritarian regimes warn 'the system has been captured' in US
“If we were slipping into an authoritarian situation, step by step, it would pretty much look like what’s happening right now,” said Larry Diamond, a Hoover Institution senior fellow who spent four decades studying how and why democracies fail.
Among the various indications of a fascist society is control over the press by corporate or totalitarian interests.
'Explicit threats': Alarm sounded over Trump admin effort to 'bring the press into line'
The U.S. fell from 55th to 57th place on RSF's World Press Freedom Index, marking the second straight year that the situation in the country which lists freedom of the press first in its Bill of Rights has been classified as "problematic." The report comes ahead of World Press Freedom Day on May 3.
Perhaps the most egregious action being considered by the regime is the suspension of habeas corpus:
Stephen Miller confirms Trump 'actively looking at' suspending key pillar of Constitution
White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller says the White House is “actively” examining suspending habeas corpus, a constitutional protection that supports the right to due process.
The list of Constitutional assaults goes on …
While the Bill of Rights of the US Constitution declares that “Congress shall make no law … abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press …” these freedoms have been subordinated by corporate dominance over the distribution of information across all media.
"Freedom of the press is guaranteed only to those who own one." -- A.J. Liebling
"In March, 1915, the J.P. Morgan interests, the steel, shipbuilding, and powder interests, and their subsidiary organizations, got together 12 men high up in the newspaper world and employed them to select the most influential newspapers in the United States and sufficient number of them to control generally the policy of the daily press. ... They found it was only necessary to purchase the control of 25 of the greatest papers. …
"An agreement was reached; the policy of the papers was bought, to be paid for by the month; an editor was furnished for each paper to properly supervise and edit information regarding the questions of preparedness, militarism, financial policies, and other things of national and international nature considered vital to the interests of the purchasers." --U.S. Congressman Oscar Callaway, 1917
"There is no such thing, at this date of the world’s history, in America, as an independent press. You know it and I know it. The business of the Journalist is to destroy truth; To lie outright; To pervert; To vilify; To fawn at the feet of mammon, and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread. You know it and I know it and what folly is this toasting an independent press? We are the tools and vassals for rich men behind the scenes. We are the jumping jacks, they pull the strings and we dance. Our talents, our possibilities and our lives are all the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes." --John Swinton, former Chief of Staff, The New York Times, circa 1880, at a banquet in his honor.
“The real menace of our Republic is the invisible government, which like a giant octopus sprawls its slimy legs over our cities, states and nation . . . The little coterie of powerful international bankers virtually run the United States government for their own selfish purposes. They practically control both parties . . . [and] control the majority of the newspapers and magazines in this country. They use the columns of these papers to club into submission or drive out of office public officials who refuse to do the bidding of the powerful corrupt cliques which compose the invisible government. It operates under cover of a self-created screen [and] seizes our executive officers, legislative bodies, schools, courts, newspapers and every agency created for the public protection.” – John F. Hylan, Mayor of New York City, New York Times, December 10, 1922
"'A handful of us determine what will be on the evening news broadcasts, or, for that matter, in the New York Times or Washington Post or Wall Street Journal. ... Indeed it is a handful of us with this awesome power ... a strongly editorial power. ... we must decide which news items out of hundreds available we are going to expose that day. And those [news stories] available to us already have been culled and re-culled by persons far outside our control.'" --Walter Cronkite, in the Introduction to "Censored: The News That Didn't Make the News-And Why," Carl Jensen, 1996
”History ain't what it is. It's what some writer wanted it to be." --Will Rogers
Like most fascists, Trump seeks to punish those who resist or criticize him.
'Total intimidation': Trump admin threatens federal workers who talk to the press
At least six United States Agency for International Development (USAID) employees, who believed they had been dismissed by the Trump administration, have now been notified by the agency's internal human resources department that they are under investigation for speaking with journalists, CBS News reported Friday.
'Illegal and unconstitutional': Harvard hits back at Trump
Harvard University pushed back forcefully Friday after President Donald Trump declared in a social media post that "we are going to be taking away Harvard Tax Exempt Status," adding that is "what they deserve." …
It is illegal for the president, vice president, or other top officials to request, indirectly or directly, that the IRS audit a particular taxpayer.
While this drift towards fascism goes back to the beginning of the US, the solution begins with resistance.
9 ways federal judges are 'throwing up increasingly fierce resistance' to Trump
“A POLITICO review of hundreds of lawsuits reveals that despite Trump’s aggressive border crackdown, he’s been largely stymied on the other planks of his immigration agenda,” Politico reports. “Courts are throwing up increasingly fierce resistance to his efforts to swiftly detain and deport migrants living in the United States. And his attempts to strip legal status from hundreds of thousands of immigrants lawfully in the country have so far failed.
'We know where you live': Expert describes MAGA's 'intolerable' threats to federal judges
… a Reuters article published earlier this month that reported at least 11 federal judges who have ruled against Trump have received threats against themselves or their families.
Another attempted violation of the US Constitution by Trump is to ignore that Congress is required to provide a postal service:
'A blatant conflict': Trump just made 'aggressive step' toward fundamentally changing USPS
President Donald Trump and the U.S. Postal Service's leadership have reportedly agreed to appoint a FedEx board member to succeed Louis DeJoy as postmaster general, heightening concerns that the administration is pushing the independent mail agency toward privatization.
Thankfully, pushback is being generated across the board.
Trump administration loses in two courtrooms in one day
U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of New York Alvin K. Hellerstein found that President Donald Trump’s invocation of the wartime law was likely not valid, because there is no “existence of a ‘war,’ ‘invasion’ or ‘predatory incursion,’” as required by the Alien Enemies Act statute.
A similar order was made by U.S. District Judge for the District of Colorado Charlotte N. Sweeney, who noted the Trump administration likely exceeded the scope of the Alien Enemies Act in its use of it.
Trump apparently thinks that he can violate the US Constitution’s Emoluments clause (Article I, Section 9, Paragraph 8), prohibiting federal officeholders from receiving any gift, payment, or other thing of value from a foreign state or its rulers, officers, or representatives.
Trump family on a 'marathon' of lucrative foreign deal making — while no one notices
"It is a rush to cash in that involves billions of dollars with few precedents in American history," the Times reporters explain. "A luxury hotel in Dubai. A second high-end residential tower in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Two cryptocurrency ventures based in the United States. A new golf course and villa complex in Qatar. And a new private club in Washington. In many cases, these new deals promoted over the last week will personally benefit not only Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., but also, President Trump himself."
Trump family and library have raked in whopping $80 million since White House return
Companies have spent about $80 million on projects benefitting the Trump family and the Trump presidential library since his return to the White House, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The report describes the arrangement as “unprecedented,” noting it raises “questions about whether it is legal for the Trump administration, and ultimately, the Trump presidential library foundation, to accept such a valuable gift from a foreign power.”
One of the key elements of farce is hyperbole, and one could say that Trump is manifesting and embracing a caricature of himself because, putting aside the untenable objectives of his actions, his behavior requires no imagination on the part of political cartoonists. Why are we not surprised that Trump covets the impunity by which the Roman Catholic Church, the most enduring evil institution in history, has operated for 1700 years.
Trump criticised after posting AI image of himself as Pope
The image posted by Trump on Friday night features him wearing a white cassock and pointed mitre, traditionally worn by a bishop. He wears a large cross around his neck, and has his finger held up, with a solemn facial expression.
New Pope Leo XIV has mixed record on abuse: campaigners
One of the most pressing issues facing Pope Leo XIV is tackling sexual abuse by clergy in the Catholic Church -- and campaigners say he has a mixed record.
Two victims' rights groups, SNAP and Bishop Accountability, issued statements following his election as the first pope from the United States on Thursday, questioning the 69-year-old's commitment to lifting the lid on the scourge.

Just a reminder that the self-identification of sexuality in children is fluid and that no one should interfere with such dynamics. Once an individual reaches adulthood, then the choice can be made by the individual, without coercion from those who, ultimately, are supporting the depopulation and gender dystopia agenda of the current regime.
Bombshell HHS report confirms the ‘irreversible’ harm caused by child gender ‘transitions’
The conclusion of the review, which analyzed existing literature, was clear: The science and accumulated evidence do not support the use of “medical intervention” – puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgeries – to address gender dysphoria in the young.

Frankly, this is a one sided report. Why didn't you write this report about the last admin? If you had, you would be worthy of reading. Censorship? Try doctors who were curing covid, proving that people didn't need to be coerced into a bioweapon, don't think it is one? Check the actuaries. How about supporting 'democracy in the Ukraine ( while pushing America into slums), when their actor 'leader' there suspends elections? truly, this imbalance is atrocious for a writer.
